The Boxtrolls director Anthony Stacchi has a new animated movie coming this summer to Netflix. The Monkey King is an action-packed family comedy film based on the ancient and beloved Chinese tale and features an all-star voice cast with people like Jimmy O. Yang, Stephanie Hsu, Bowen Yang, and BD Wong lending their voices to the movie.

The story is inspired by the character in the 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West. The official logline for the movie from Netflix is as follows:
