Rising actress Aaliyah Cinello stars in a new Netflix teen series titled I Woke Up a Vampire, and everyone’s wondering just who this young talent is.

The vampire-centric show follows a teen girl named Carmie, who on her 13th birthday, discovers she’s half-human, half-vampire, and has supernatural powers. Aaliyah plays the role of Madison,  a teen girl and a new student at Magnolia Middle School. The first friend she makes is Carmie. But we soon learn that there’s more to Madison than meets the eye…

Throughout the entire first season, Aaliyah continues to give an incredible performance in each episode. Now, we’ve officially become fans of hers and are eager to watch all of her other work.

Aaliyah was born on Sept. 20, 2007, in Toronto, Canada, making her 16 years old and her zodiac sign Virgo. She was born to a Cuban-Jamaican mother named Raven Cinello and an Italian father named Lui Cinello. She also has a younger sister named Chanél.

She reportedly stands at 5 feet 6 inches tall, making her over the average height for a female (5’4). She also has curly dark brown or black hair and dark brown eyes.
