The couple, however, separated in 1981 after staying married for more than 22 years due to some misunderstandings. 

Upon their separation, they filed for divorce, and by the end of 1981, their divorce was finalized through the registered court's announcement.

Eventually, the pair patched up their relationship again and united as soul mates for the second time in 1982. But this time, their marriage only lasted for seven years, and after that, they took the divorce agreement in 1989, which concealed their children's full child support from Hogan.
