Zayn Malik sent Directioners into a frenzy when he dropped the promo pics for his new music video, and as Selena Gomez posts a blonde hair pic in her latest Instagram photo dump, fans are convinced it could be her.
Selena Gomez and Zayn were linked earlier this year when they followed each other on Instagram. Although this may not sound like a big deal, the ex-One Direction star only follows 18 people. The two have since unfollowed each other, but fans still have their theories.
Selena Gomez shows off blonde hair in latest photo dump
Selena recently treated fans to a photo dump of ‘random moments’ over on Instagram this weekend, and in the third slide, she can be seen sporting blonde mid-length hair.
However, the star has her usual dark hair in the rest of the pictures, as the blonde is actually just a wig this time. The Disney alum did go through her ‘blonde era’ in 2017, which she debuted at the AMAs.
In 2021, she went platinum blonde which she revealed via her beauty brand, Rare Beauty.
Cut to 2023, and Selena once again debuted her blonde hair in a photo dump from Paris, although she also had dark hair during that time and in the present day.
Whether the star went blonde for a period of time earlier this year or was wearing a wig, she still slayed!
Fans think Selena’s the ‘mystery girl’ in Zayn’s new music video
The pair were linked earlier this month, however, neither commented on the rumors going around. Since then, they’ve unfollowed each other on Instagram, and Selena confirmed that she was single by screaming it on a soccer field over on TikTok.
However, this didn’t stop fans from thinking Selena was the ‘mystery blonde woman’ with her arms around Zayn Malik‘s neck in the promo for his new music video.
“I’ve got this strong feeling it’s Selena 100%,” wrote one fan.
“Strong gut feeling of her being SELENA,” said another.
One eagle-eyed fan wrote: “Selena has that exact ring on in her last photo on her Instagram page of her sitting somewhere that looks like a cafe. It’s def her.”
However, others weren’t convinced, as one wrote: “guys can you stop saying that the woman in the photo is Selena?????!!”
Another said: “Y’all tripping, that could be any blonde girl.”
We guess we’ll have to wait and see until the release of the music video!
Selena Gomez hangs out with Camila Cabello
Amid the blonde look in Selena’s photo dump was a picture of her hanging out with Fifth Harmony alum, Camila Cabello, and fans couldn’t get enough of the celebrity friendship between the two.
In fact, the caption of the post was: “Random moments feat. @camila_cabello.”
The two can be seen smiling at a funfair, as they pull funny poses for the camera, which of course, fans loved.
“CAMILA AND SELENA??? HELLO???” exclaimed one fan.
“SELENA AND CAMILA COLLAB? YES PLEASE,” penned another.
