Pratap Pothen, an Indian actor and director who was born on August 13, 1952, appeared in around 100 movies. He appeared in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam movies.
Pratap Pothan revealed in 2006 that he will helm Madhavan in a K. Rajeswar script. Before it was revealed that the movie would be called Oru Naal Podhuma and would star Rukmini Vijayakumar in the lead female part, pre-production work proved to be challenging, and the lead actress and title of the movie underwent multiple modifications.
The team had planned to wrap up filming in Canada, however, due to creative disagreements, the project was ultimately canceled.
Pratap’s personal life was not particularly successful because he got divorced from both of his marriages, which occurred twice.
He had a film producer’s older brother named Hari Pothan.

In 1985, he wed the actress Raadhika, from whom he later separated in 1986.
In 1990, he wed again, this time to Amala Satyanath Pothen, and they divorced once again in 2012. He shares a daughter named Keya Pothen with Amala. Amala Satyanath Pothen is unknown since she prefers to live her life outside of the spotlight.
