GabbyPetito was reported missing on September 11, ten days after her fiancé, Brian Laundrie, returned from their cross-country road trip without her. Her body was later recovered and it was determined that homicide was the cause of death.
Since Petito’s disappearance, Laundrie and his family refused to give any useful information to the police, which has increased public suspicion. There have been several potential spottings of Laundrie, but authorities have not yet located him.
Now, the Teton County Coroner’s Office has released a statement regarding Petito’s cause of death.
