Jason Kelce went from 'falling asleep on the first date' to marriage and three kids

Jason Kelce and Kylie are celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary, so we thought we’d take a look back at the amazing six years they’ve had together, as we hope for many more!

The celebrity couple tied the knot at the Logan Hotel in Philadelphia on April 14, 2018, after meeting on dating app Tinder. The intimate occasion has just under 200 guests, including brother Travis Kelce and their Irish Wolfhound, Winnie. However, from the way their first date went, Jason Kelce may be lucky it turned out that way as his wife recently admitted he fell asleep at the bar 45 minutes in! From his pre Super Bowl antics, we’re not surprised!

If anyone was going to do it, it would be Jason Kelce. Opening up about their first meeting on his and his brother Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast, admitting she didn’t know he was an athlete. “None of his pictures showed Eagles football,” she said.

For their first date, Kylie went to meet the former NFL star and his friends at a bar, recalling that he fell asleep within 45 minutes, on his Amazon Prime documentary.

However, slightly redeeming himself, the former Eagles star said he was sober enough to know his wife was  “the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life,” and surprisingly got a second date, after calling her up the next day and asking if they could do it all again.

As you can now tell, the second date went miles better, and the pair went Instagram official in 2015, three years before tying the knot.

In Summer 2017, Kylie posted her engagement ring on social media, alongside the caption “I’m the luckiest girl in the world.” They then tied the knot in Philadelphia a year later, and in 2019, welcomed their first child, daughter, Wyatt Elizabeth Kelce.

Later that year, the 36-year-old announced Wyatt was going to be a big sister, and their second daughter Elliotte was born in March 2021.

In 2023, their third daughter, Bennett Llewellyn Kelce was born.

Travis says Kylie is ‘the best sister’ he could have asked for

Although Kylie joked during the 2023 Super Bowl that she and Travis ‘weren’t related’ the two have an adorable relationship, showcased on social media.

“Being part of the Kelce family right now is very exciting,” she told PEOPLE before the 2023 Super Bowl, in which the Kansas City Chiefs beat the Philadelphia Eagles. “I, of course, am like, ‘Sorry Travis, we’re not family this week.’ But, you know, next week, it’ll be all love again.”

Shortly after their wedding, Trav took to social media to celebrate his brother and his new wife, with an adorable pic of the two kissing from their lavish wedding day. “Following up a Super Bowl run with a two ring season!! Nicely played Jason… @kykelce I told you this already but you’re the best sister a guy could as for!!” he gushed.

“I don’t know how but you keep this crazy man in line and you have one of the biggest hearts I know!! Can’t wait for the future memories we’ll all enjoy together, but here’s a few pics from a day I know I’ll remember forever! 4.14.18,” alongside some adorable family pics including their mom, Donna.

Hopefully it will be Travis and Taylor Swift next!
